The Office of External Affairs offers tours of the University of Kansas Medical Center to community members and student groups interested in careers related to health and science. Our tours provide insight into the daily workings of an academic medical center focused on education, research and community service. Our tours include presentations by students or admissions staff from the Schools of Allied Health, Medicine, and Nursing. Some of our most popular tours include viewing the Pathology and Histology Lab, Hogland Brain Imaging Center, Clendening History of Medicine Library, Nursing Skills Lab, and the School of Medicine Skills Lab.

Requests must be submitted at least one month in advance of the proposed tour date. We offer morning and afternoon tours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays; tours take approximately 2 – 2 1/2 hours and groups usually visit 3 different areas and/or departments while on the tour.
